Keep your braai in great condition for years to come.
By following these simple cleaning and maintenance tips, you can keep your braai in great condition for years to come. A well-cared-for braai ensures better performance, enhances flavors, and makes outdoor cooking more enjoyable!
Cleaning Your Braai
1. Cleaning the Grills
After each use, burn off any food residue by heating the braai for about 10–15 minutes. Use a wire brush or grill scraper to remove remaining residue. Wash the grills with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. For stubborn grease, soak the grills in a mixture of vinegar and baking soda before scrubbing.
2. Cleaning the Braai Body
Lightly wipe down the braai body with a damp cloth. For stainless steel surfaces, use a specialised stainless steel cleaner to maintain its shine. Check for any grease buildup inside the doors and clean it using hot soapy water if necessary.
3. Cleaning the Ash Pan
Remove leftover ash after each use - you can either fully remove the Ash Pan or use a dust pan and brush once fully cooled.
